SAKE DAY 2026 – Ticket Sales UPDATE and “Welcome Sake” Announcement

Holy Smokes! SAKE DAY 2026 is SOLD OUT!

In record time as well! 2 minutes for the 300 Early Bird Tickets and by 4:40pm the same day for the rest of the tickets!

So first we wanted to thank you on behalf of the "Center" (Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California) who receive 100% of ticket proceeds. And then we wanted to say "Good Job" to those who listened to us when we warned and alerted you when tickets went on sale!

For those who didn't listen, didn't act or couldn't act we held back roughly 100 tickets that we will release closer to the event! And yes, we will alert and warn you newsletter readers first!

The "WELCOME SAKE" Update

It is with our total honor and enthusiasm to name the Welcome Sake for SAKE DAY 2026 – the 21st Anniversary of sake purity and passion.

This Saturday, September 26th, when you enter SAKE DAY you will receive a chilled SAKE DAY’26 cup of Zaku Junmai Ginjo “Miyabi no Tomo” made by one of the hottest sake breweries in Japan, Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten, in Mie Prefecture. And for us we feel that we scored a coup by getting Mr. and Mrs. Shimizu to come to SAKE DAY to welcome you with one of their classic Junmai Ginjos. (In this light, we want to thank Jamie Graves from Skurnik Sake for arranging this. Jamie is a veteran of SAKE DAY and was instrumental in getting Mr. and Mrs. Shimizu to attend and pour one of the most talked-about sakes in Tokyo and beyond.)

From Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten (Zaku Sake):

The value of creating ‘Zaku’ together -
The times are always changing. The name ‘Zaku’ – from the character  meaning ‘make’ or ‘create’ – was chosen to convey the notion that the true value of sake is to be created together with the customer, not merely in the product that we, the brewery, make. While respecting the traditions of sake brewing, we want our sake to evolve with the ever-changing times and with the diversity of people’s values, thoughts, and tastes.
